N&N provides UV coatings servicing the following markets:
sheet fed offset, preprint, narrow web for labels, and soft tubes. N&N understands how web presses
normally use a low energy light source because of the long paper web on the
machine which differs from the higher, hot energy lights applied on sheet fed.
Today, many converters have both sheet fed and web presses in the same
location, and don’t want to carry large coating inventories. N&N has formulated
one UV coating that meets the needs of both sheet fed and web presses, which
helps the printer to cut back on stocking too many different inventories.
Increasingly, for higher quality magazine covers, the need is to leave no finger
prints over the UV surface. We have this on our range. |

Sheet fed Offset: These UV coatings work well on paper,
board, and plastics (polystyrene, polyethylene, PVC, and polyesters).

Very low odor.

UV coated
surface can accept screen printing, hot and cold foil stamping, normal
waterbase EVA glue, hot melt glue, foam tape, laser printing, and is
writable and erasable like a whiteboard.

Will not foam
even at excess of 12,000 impressions per hour press speed.

UV surface will
not leave behind finger prints.

Pass 3M tape
adhesion test on normal oil base offset inks without needing primer
coating.

Provide gloss
reading over 90, when applied offline on roller coaters, and having a
waterbase primer base.

With hybrite
inks, UV gloss exceeds 85 points on duplex board and printing inline.

These UV coatings are commercialized on the F&K flexo press in Australia.
